Technarte / ITER: Tenerife Art and Technology Residency (Canary Islands - Spain)


Technarte, TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes) and ITER (Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies), in order to investigate the connections between Innovation, Art, Science and Technology in creative processes, decided to launch a programme of artistic residencies in scientific environments on the Island of Tenerife (Canary Islands). The goal of this programme is the creation of two artistic projects that integrate the fields of technology, science and innovation into their reflection, production and execution processes.

Theme: Energy Transition

The programme provides accommodation, working space, round trip ticket from the artist’s place of residence to the ITER facilities (maximum €1500),  stipend and travel insurance. Each residency will last a maximum of 30 days during January-February 2022 and will include courses, workshops and personalised guidance in the development of the project.


How to apply

International artists and researchers specialised in the field of art, technology and science may apply to the call.

Candidates should indicate their specific interest in participating, as well as an initial approach to the work or project to be developed. Projects may be presented in form of text,  graphic or audiovisual material (image, video, 3D, etc.) through the EMS platform at https://callsresidency.technarte.org/
