As an independent curator, she co-curated the exhibitions Pulled in Brooklyn for the International Print Center New York in 2019 and Word as Image: Highlights from the Marmor Collection for The Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University in 2015. From 1999-2014, Rippner worked as a curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, organizing a number of exhibitions including Rhythms of Modern Life: British Prints 1914-1939 (with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston) and The Prints of Vija Celmins.
