Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is an actor in the art field that keeps up with the contemporary times. The programme includes contemporary art exhibitions, public art and a diverse programme of activities. The first exhibitions in the renovated spaces in Kalevan Navetta Art & Culture centre were opened in March 2020.
The phenomena of contemporary art, the unique exhibition spaces and topical questions arising from the surrounding countryside and the urban – rural interface act as a wider context in curatorial practice of Kunsthalle Seinäjoki. Both local and global perspective are considered relevant. The four policies that form a framework for programme planning are: Space, Process, Presence and Dialogue. The programme includes exhibitions by Finnish and international artists, Nordic countries are of particular interest.
Now Kunsthalle Seinäjoki announces an Open Call for Vintti exhibition space for the first time.
We are looking for an exhibition that
- follows the programme policies
- is a solo or group show
- considers the special features of Vintti space
- artist is Nordic-based
- can be implemented in 22.9.2022 – 28.1.2023
- in addition the applications are considered in the future programme planning
- the exhibition space and production
- exhibition fee
- existing technical equipment and structures for use in the exhibition

The Open Call runs through 1.6.-12.9.2021.

The decision will be made by the end of September 2021. Curator Aura Seikkula is joining Kunsthalle Seinäjoki team in the decision-making.
