Timea Mitroi

My body of work is based on drawing and painting. In my artistic process I work with traditional techniques such as black ink on paper, which is an inexhaustible medium that offers me many surprises. While I draw with this liquid substance, I focus to represent with an abstract touch organic and figurative elements combined with a form of “asemic writing” which is a kind of invented calligraphy. These seeming-symbols are gestural  abstractions that invite the viewer to project a variety of meanings into the work.
