This call is primarily open to artists working with film and digital arts with an interest/approach/research centred on the relationship between Feminism and the Asian Identity.

For two weeks in October 2021, we will be hosting our pop up gallery in Islington, ‘ZAO TANG: Pop Up Gallery On Asian Arts and Feminism’. The gallery will become a space for social exchange and creative discourse, charged with the theme ‘What does it mean to be an Asian woman?’. The curation of artworks will present a connective strength that speaks about the identity of Asian feminism, provide assurance to vulnerable members of Asian communities of London, support under-represented Asian creatives, and invite all members of the local community to join in and celebrate cultural diversity.

Eligibility: It is open to artists of all ages, backgrounds and disciplines, including international artists living outside of the United Kingdom. Individual, collaborative or editorial projects are eligible.

What you get: The successful applicant will have the opportunity to exhibit the work, network with artists, curators, collectors and the wider public. Guidance and promotion through our (and our partners’) channels and network will be provided. The exhibition will also appear in a number of publications. £600 will also be awarded in support of the work.
